Who we are

Red White and Clix is dedicated to bringing people together through tabletop gaming while supporting and honoring the veteran community. Founded by a disabled veteran, we create inclusive events that foster connection, competition, and purpose, using gaming as a vehicle to raise funds and awareness for veteran-focused charities.

About the Founder: Wes Robertson

Wesley Robertson served as a Combat Engineer in the Indiana Army National Guard from 1999 to 2006. In 2004, he deployed to Mosul, Iraq, operating out of Forward Operating Base Marez in support of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) operations. His role placed him in close proximity to the daily realities of war, where the risks were constant and the stakes were measured in lives. Like many who served during this period, the challenges did not end when the deployment ended. The transition home carried invisible wounds. Over time, Wesley was diagnosed with severe Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and later Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS). These diagnoses fundamentally altered the trajectory of his life, creating barriers that impacted his health, career, and sense of stability. Compounding these struggles was the painful reality that several fellow service members did not survive the years after returning home. Watching brothers-in-arms lose their battles to suicide left a lasting impact and created a powerful sense of responsibility to act. The realization that the war continued long after the battlefield became a defining turning point. During one of the most difficult seasons of his life, Wesley received support from a veteran-focused charitable organization. That support provided not only practical assistance but also a renewed sense of connection and hope. It demonstrated firsthand how meaningful community support can be for veterans navigating complex physical and mental health challenges. Motivated by both loss and gratitude, Wesley founded Red White and Clix to transform personal adversity into positive impact for others. The organization was created to build community through tabletop gaming while raising funds and awareness for veteran-focused causes

Major Robertson was a soldier, teacher, technology expert, professor, son, brother, grandfather, husband and father. He carried every one of those titles with the honor and dignity of the very best of men. He didn’t fall from combat but from a battle with cancer in 2013. Wes Robertson still wears Ed’s dog tags every single day. This mission is in no small part because of the strength and empathy Ed instilled in Wes. This organization is Wes’ salute to his father, in loving memory of his real life superhero.
